“In the hand of the gifted
sculptor, beauty emerges.”
Dr.
Alex Keller received his medical degree from New York University and
completed his postgraduate training in surgery and plastic surgery at New
York University.
Currently
he is Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery at the Albert Einstein
College of Medicine, New York University Medical Center, and State
University of New York at Stony Brook.
Dr. Keller is a recognized expert in the field of microsurgery
and a renowned pioneer in state-of-the-art breast reconstruction. He has
performed breast reconstruction using the TRAM technique, but more
importantly, is one of a select few surgeons performing DIEP flap
breast reconstruction. To learn more about these procedures, refer
to www.breastflap.com
As an active volunteer
in his community and having an interest in the fight against breast
cancer, Dr. Keller participates in the "Making Strides Against Breast
Cancer" walk.
Dr.
Keller is at the forefront in performing cosmetic surgery.
While he is willing to change to "new" techniques, he will do so
only after he is sure that the technique is better and offers an advantage over the older tested
predictable procedures. New and better are often not the same.
